When I was a little girl, there was a time when we didn’t have much and often felt very alone. Yet every day, my sister and I would walk past a small café and look through the window at the sugar cookies we wanted so badly. We didn’t go inside. We just looked. That sugar cookie became something more than a treat. It became a symbol of hope. A quiet reminder to keep believing, even when life felt uncertain.
And one day, I did get that sugar cookie.

Over time, that simple moment grew into a phrase I carry with me: “Hold on to your sugar cookie.” To me, it means holding onto faith when the future feels unclear. It means believing that what you are hoping for still matters, even when it feels far away. It’s a reminder that waiting does not mean forgetting, and that God is still working, even when you can’t yet see the outcome.

Sugar Cookie Press was born from that belief. It exists to create stories that comfort, encourage, and gently remind readers to keep going. Stories that speak softly to the heart and say, don’t give up, there is still sweetness ahead.
